McCreary County Sheriff Randy Waters reports two individuals were arrested after a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs in the vehicle.
Ryan Wilson, 33, was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and an outstanding warrant for failure to appear. Angela Worley, 44, of Stearns, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with physical evidence; along with traffic violations.
According to Deputy Cody Stephens’ arrest report he conducted a traffic stop around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday morning after observing a vehicle without taillights on Old Bailey Road. Worley, the driver, was operating without a valid license, and Wilson was identified with an outstanding warrant.
After placing Wilson under arrest a search of his possessions turned up pills in a plastic baggie. The female, who was ordered to stand by the driver’s door, reportedly ignored the command and went to the other side of the vehicle where she dropped a syringe. When confronted she allegedly admitted to dropping the needle.
Inside the car a set of scales and a baggie of suspected meth was found. Worley also was found to have a second bag in her pocket containing a pill and a half of Buprenophine – a schedule 3 controlled substance.
