Cox named Male MVP at South Laurel Invitational

The McCreary Central High School track and field program excelled in the South Laurel Invitational.

LONDON – McCreary Central High School track and field athlete Calob Cox was named Male MVP at the South Laurel Invitational on Friday. Cox finished first in the long jump while placing second in the 100 Meter Dash and third in the 200 Meter Dash.
The McCreary Central boys’ team finished fifth out of 14 squads. Top eight finishers for the McCreary Central boys’ track and field team follow.
McCreary Central Boys (fifth out of 14 teams): 4×800 Relay Team, 2nd; 4×400 Relay, 6th; Calob Cox, 1st – Long Jump, 2nd – 100 Meter Dash, 3rd – 200 Meter Dash; Jordan Tucker, 1st – 3200 Meter Run; Tyler Strunk, 3rd – 800 Meter Run; Aiden Tucker, 7th – 1600 Meter Run; Harley Waters, 8th – 1600 Meter Run.
The McCreary Central girls’ squad placed 11th out of 15 teams. Top eight finishers for the McCreary Central girls’ track and field team follow.
McCreary Central Girls (11th out of 15 teams): Kalidora Bolin, 5th – 200 Meter Dash, Kalidora Bolin, 6th – 100 Meter Dash,
Kalidora Bolin, 6th – 400 Meter Dash; Makenzie Cox, 6th – Long Jump, 8th – 100 Meter Dash; Ali Waters, 8th – 3200 Meter Run.
