The McCreary County Fiscal Court met for their first session of the new fiscal year Thursday night – conducting a brief and routine session. Lasting only 12 minutes, the meeting dealt with personnel matters and budget transfers.
The Court approved changing a road name that had been listed incorrectly on the state inventory. Parkers Mountain Road was listed in Frankfort under the name of Lonesome Creek Road, causing minor confusion. The change Thursday should correct the issue.
The Court also accepted the 2017 Sheriff’s Office fee settlement and accepted $5,522.99 in excess fees from the Sheriff’s account. The Fiscal Court voted to return the funds to the Sheriff to be used for his department.
There was no participation from the audience and no questions were asked of the department heads in attendance.

The next regular scheduled meeting of the McCreary County Fiscal Court will be on Thursday, August 9 at 6:00 p.m.
