McCreary County Sheriff Randy Waters reports the arrest of six individuals on charges related to the discovery of marijuana and other drugs found in a residence on Winding Ridge Road Friday evening.
Sheriff Waters, along with deputies Cody Stephens and Ronnie King went to the residence with officers from the Kentucky Division of Probation and Parole to locate an individual wanted for probation violation.
Upon arrival two subjects attempted to flee the residence through a back door, but were apprehended before they could get away. After the owner of the home had signed a consent to search form, officers located more than 18 grams of marijuana, a crystal like substance – believed to be methamphetamine, digital scales and syringes. Coffey, 36, charged with tampering with physical evidence and a bench warrant for theft by unlawful taking, and Brad Creech, 38, charged with tampering with physical evidence, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
