Sheriff makes holiday busts

McCreary County Sheriff Randy Waters reports the arrest of a Strunk man on drug trafficking charges after a search at a residence on Tuesday, December 20 netted methamphetamine and pills.
According to the arrest citation deputies Alex Jones, Darrell Loudermilk and Tyler Watkins conducted a controlled buy at a residence on Chewford Road. After obtaining a warrant, officers conducted a search of the home, finding three baggies of suspected methamphetamine, a baggie containing suspected heroin, a bottle of unidentified pills, two firearms, scales and other drug paraphernalia.
Arrested at the scene was Ronald Ball, 36, who was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (meth), trafficking in a controlled substance (unspecified), possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and prescription not in proper container.
Also arrested at the scene was Jackie Neal, Jr., 36, of Strunk. Neal reportedly was found with a small amount of marijuana and two pills. Neal stated he was a convicted felon, but was unaware that he was not allowed to be near firearms.
Neal was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Sheriff Waters also reports a second drug arrest occurring on December 29, where Roscoe Bryant, 43, of Pine Knot, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, public intoxication of a controlled substance, menacing, resisting arrest, flee/evade and disorderly conduct after approximately 9 grams of meth were found after officers attempted to serve several outstanding warrants against Bryant.
