Grand Jury indicts 14

The McCreary County Grand Jury released 12 indictments against 14 individuals this month.
Roscoe Bryant, of Pine Knot, was indicted on a count of Receiving Stolen Property of the Value of $500 or More for allegedly knowingly and unlawfully receiving and possessing appliances and other assorted items that had been stolen from another individual.
Bryant was also charged with being a Persistent Felony Offender after previous convictions in 2008 and 2012.
Rodney L. Jones was charged with a count of Theft by Failure to Make Required Disposition of Property of the Value of $500 or More for reportedly converting $1,600, which was the property of another individual, to his own use and benefit between August 25 and October 6, 2018.
Sarah Lyons was indicted on a count of Possession of a Controlled Substance First Degree for allegedly being found with a quantity of LSD on April 26.
Matthew Baird, Justin Ramey, Ronald Sellers and Marshal Staten were named in a three-count indictment. Baird, Sellers and Ramey was charged with Receiving Stolen Property- Firearm for reportedly knowingly and unlawfully receiving and possessing several firearms stolen from another individual. Ramey was also charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Staten was charged with one count of Receiving Stolen Property for reportedly knowingly and unlawfully receiving and possessing several knives stolen from another individual.
Rebecca Shelton, of Parkers Lake, was charged with one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance First Degree for allegedly being found with a quantity of methamphetamine on October 5, 2018.
Rodney Staley, of Parkers Lake, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug paraphernalia and Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Intoxicants for reportedly being found operating a vehicle on August 22 while under the influence and having a quantity of methamphetamine and items commonly used for the ingestion and/or distribution of illegal controlled substances.
Deborah McNett, of Barbourville, was indicted on counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia for allegedly being found with a quantity of methamphetamine and items commonly used for the ingestion and/or distribution of illegal controlled substances on August 22.
Jeremy Keeton, of Sunbright, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance First Degree for reportedly being found with a quantity of methamphetamine on January 7.
Randi Marie Thomas, of Knoxville, was indicted on a count of Possession of a Controlled Substance First Degree for reportedly being found with a quantity of methamphetamine on June 26.
Felix Moses, of Stearns, was named in two indictments this month. The first charges him with Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary Second Degree for allegedly attempting to unlawfully enter a residence on August 22. The second charges Moses with Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registry for allegedly failing to report his change of address to the KSP Sex Offender Registry, which is required by law.
Daniel Lee Ridener was indicted on counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance First Degree, Trafficking in a Legend Drug, Trafficking in Marijuana and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon for allegedly being found with quantities of methamphetamine, actavis and marijuana – for the purpose of sale, and having a 9mm pistol concealed under the car seat on July 22.
The Voice would like to remind our readers that an indictment is not an indication of one’s guilt or innocence, but represents that enough evidence exists in a case to pursue the matter in a court of law.
