A Stearns couple face charges after being caught with drugs and other drug paraphernalia in a motel room last week.
McCreary County Sheriff Randy Waters reports Deputy Dustin Ridner and Constable Cody Stephens responded to Parkland Motel Thursday night after receiving several tips and complaints of a high amount of traffic in and out of a room at the motel.
Upon arrival the officers were permitted entry in to the room and observed two people apparently attempting to hide a baggie containing a crystal-like substance – believed to be methamphetamine.
A further search of the room found additional baggies, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia.
Arrested were George H. Wilson, 39, and Grace A. Wilson, 37, both of Stearns and charged with counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a police radio. George Wilson was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were lodged in the Leslie County Detention Center.
