Three arrested in drug raid

McCreary County Sheriff Randy Waters is reporting the arrest of three individuals Wednesday morning as the result of an investigation in to possible illegal drug trafficking.

 

Sheriff Waters states his office had received information about an individual selling methamphetamine at a residence on Can Man Lane in Pine Knot. After obtaining a search warrant officers went to the residence and observed Mickey Dean Kidd, 40, reportedly drop a container on to the ground before it could be found. The container was found to hold suspected methamphetamine. Officers were able to locate a second container, also containing suspected meth. Approximately five grams of the suspected drug was seized. Several pills and other drug paraphernalia were located inside the residence as well.
Kidd was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
Two other individuals were arrested at the scene as well: November L. Brown, 45, and Aaron Baird, 40.
Brown was charged with tampering with physical evidence, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance. Baird was charged with possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.
All three were lodged in the Leslie County Detention Center.
Deputies Darrell Loudermilk, Dustin Ridner, Tyler Watkins and Constable Cody Stephens worked the case.
