KSP investigates shots fired

Photo by Kaitlyn Wilson Midday Wednesday, July 15, Kentucky State Police Trooper Craig Reed responded to a call of a fight in progress with possible shots fired next to the Pine Knot Fire Department. As he was working on securing the scene, one individual attempted to flee and Trooper Reed proceeded to chase and apprehend him. However, while Reed was in pursuit, other suspects from the scene also fled and Kentucky State Police were unable to locate them. A handgun was recovered from the scene. This incident is still under investigation with charges expected to be filed.
