Registered voters who will vote by absentee ballot can call the Clerk’s Office to request an absentee ballot. The voter’s name will be put on a list and mailed a ballot when they become available. The last day to request an absentee ballot is October 9, 2020. To put your name on the list for an absentee ballot call the Clerk’s office at (606) 376-2411.
Statewide, Clerks are still finalizing voting procedures and hope to announce voting places and procedures next month. Voters can expect some changes on November 3rd due to Covid-19, as was experienced in the Primary election, but Haynes said he was working to find voting solutions for the county that are agreeable to the Election Commission in Frankfort. Until final details are in place, Haynes stressed the convenience of early voting and the importance of casting your vote.
