Sunflowers on the Creek

Magnificent sunflowers planted by the U.S. Forest Service and Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife at Rock Creek are now in full bloom. The Rock Creek sunflowers were planted later in the season and began blooming just as the sunflowers of Barren Fork wilted and dropped their yellow petals. The sunflowers were planted for added wildlife diversity and for the public’s viewing pleasure.
