McCreary County Sheriff Randy Waters and Deputy Stuart Bryant were on patrol Thursday evening when they noticed two huge marijuana plants growing near a mobile home located on Old Cal Hill Road in Pine Knot. The two plants, well over six feet tall, were cut down. Officers charged Daniel Lay with a misdemeanor-cultivating marijuana (less than five plants.) In addition to Sheriff Waters and Deputy Bryant, Kentucky State Police (KSP) Officers Keegan Bray and Josh Roaden also responded. KSP Officer Roaden, Deputy Bryant, Sheriff Waters, and KSP Officer Bray are pictured (left to right) at the Sheriff’s office with the massive marijuana plants towering over them in the background.
