COVID-19 Active Cases decreasing

The number of the County’s active Covid-19 cases have decreased to 19. The lower number of active cases reported daily has resulted in the County rated in the Orange/Accelerated spread level of transmission, down from last week’s Red/Critical level. The cumulative total number of cases in the county since the beginning of the pandemic is 228 with one death.
In the Lake Cumberland District Health ten county region, Adair County is experiencing a sharp rise in active cases, reporting 77 cases. Clinton County is also reporting a rapid rise in cases, currently 39 cases and 3 hospitalizations. Both Adair and Clinton County are rated in the Red/Critical level of transmission.
Both Pulaski and Taylor County report elevated numbers, Pulaski reports 78 cases with 4 hospitalized and Taylor is reporting 54 cases with one hospitalized. The LCDHD reports most of the cases are tied or traced back to Businesses, Schools, Places of Worship and Family.
The LCDH area has experienced 3,367 total confirmed Covid-19 cases with 75 deaths. Statewide there have been as of Tuesday 81,691 confirmed cases and 1,269 deaths. Across the state 776 new cases were reported yesterday and 14 new deaths.
