McCreary County remains in the Orange/Accelerated level of transmission for the Coronavirus. Seven counties in the Lake Cumberland District are in the Red/Critical range of community spread: Adair, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Russell, Taylor and Wayne. Casey and Pulaski are in the Orange/Accelerated level of community spread.
As of Tuesday evening, McCreary County had 21 active cases with one hospitalized. The County has had a cumulative total of 249 cases and one death. The Lake Cumberland District is currently reporting 417 active cases with 20 hospitalized. The Lake Cumberland District has experienced a total of 3,752 cases with 79 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
LCDHD states the most cases currently active in the ten county district are tied back to businesses, schools, places of worship and medical facilities.
