Yearly Community Thanksgiving Dinner Is This Saturday,
November 21 at Lord’s Café.
With adjustments made for following COVID-19 transmission precautions and guidelines, the 10th annual Lord’s Café Community Thanksgiving Dinner hosted by Crossroads Community Baptist Church is scheduled for Saturday, November 21 at the Lord’s Café. In-house dining (with limited seating and masks required) is from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Drive-thru is offered from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
Volunteers plan to spend four very busy days preparing 600 pounds of turkey breast with all the trimmings for 1,500 traditional Thanksgiving dinners. This year’s menu consists of turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, garden salad, yeast rolls, and assorted desserts. The dinner is free to all in the community (donations are welcome) and is accomplished totally through volunteer efforts and donations. Churches and in-home health care workers are encouraged to contact Grant/Gina Hasty at Crossroads Community Baptist Church/Lord’s Cafe about pick-up and delivery to shut-ins and home bound patients.
As always, organizers remind everyone that “Only He gets the glory!”
