The McCreary County Fiscal Court and McCreary County Industrial Development Authority are happy to announce exciting job training and placement opportunities coming soon for local residents as Teleworks USA conducts an online training and virtual job placement session beginning November 30 for thirty McCreary Countians. The online training and virtual job placement are free of charge to the participants as the McCreary County Fiscal Court and McCreary County Industrial Development Authority are funding the cost of this Teleworks USA opportunity.
“This is an incredible opportunity for McCreary Countians who would like to work from the safety and comfort of their own homes, which is especially desirable during the current and ongoing health pandemic,” said Nathan Nevels, McCreary County Deputy Judge and Director for Economic Development. “We are very pleased that the Teleworks USA team will help prepare and connect our folks to work-at-home jobs with great pay and benefits all through a virtual setting.”
Nevels explained the average starting pay for the Teleworks positions is $12 per hour with benefits.

This is an ideal opportunity for McCreary County residents interested in reliable work-at-home jobs. Currently, registration for the Teleworks training workshop is open to those who would like to brush up on their customer service and computer skills prior to the job fair. The training workshop is limited to thirty individuals and will cover topics including customer service, computer literacy, and tech support to help increase the chances of landing a remote-work position during the subsequent job fair. Training is scheduled for November 30-December 9 (Mon-Fri./9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.) Since both the workshop training and job fair are being offered online, participants can join from home or reserve a computer workstation at the McCreary County Public Library or the Rattlesnake Ridge Community Outreach Center. All COVID precautions are being taken, and masks will be required inside both locations. If home computer access is not available, individuals can reserve a computer at either location by contacting Betty Hays at 606-438-9943 or bhays@teleworksusa.com. After workshop training is completed, Teleworks USA staff can also assist with resume prep and preparing participants for virtual interviews with prospective employers. After the training workshop, Teleworks USA will offer its first virtual job fair targeting McCreary Countians on December 10 at 10:00 a.m. The job fair is limited to fifty individuals with those who successfully complete the workshop training having first priority. Those who do not complete a workshop must have a completed resume with relevant work experience to be admitted to the job fair on a first come, first serve basis until all fifty virtual seats are filled. The job fair will give individuals the opportunity to learn more about remote companies that are hiring now for full-time, long-term positions with benefits. A Teleworks USA manager will assist with assessments and will place individuals in an offer session. To register for the virtual job fair, follow the link: bit.ly/2KdHOyW.
A division of Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program (EKCEP), Inc., Teleworks USA identifies and develops legitimate remote-work job opportunities with multiple national and global companies. Since 2015, Teleworks USA has been responsible for more than 3,200 job placements for Eastern Kentuckians through a series of job fairs and workshops with partner companies. Among others, Teleworks USA partner companies and employers include Amazon and Wayfair.

McCreary Countians are encouraged to take advantage of this free training/job fair opportunity and to join the thousands of teleworkers who have found gainful, remote work employment as customer service representatives for major corporations through Teleworks USA.
