McCreary Water District Awards Local Contracts

Photo by Eugenia Jones The McCreary County Water District (MCWD) began their substantial Marsh Creek Project on Monday. According to MCWD Supervisor Stephen Whitaker, the project impacts the southeastern section of the county and will improve water service for the area. In addition to improved water service, the project will also impact the local economy by providing jobs and paychecks to local McCreary Countians. Two local businesses, David Rose Excavation and Crabtree Wilson Insurance, were low bidders and received contracts through the project.
