Hospice of Lake Cumberland Needs Help Expanding Children’s Bereavement Program

Hospice of Lake Cumberland is happy to announce the dates for the 2021 annual Hearts for Hospice fundraiser.
This year the event will be virtual and will run from May 17-21. An online environment for “Hearts” will be available at www.hospiceLC.org where anyone in the community can shop our silent auction and vote on our dance contest by viewing the dance video’s and voting for the ones you like best.
This year’s Hearts for Hospice event is raising funds for an expansion of our Children’s Bereavement Program. For years we have hosted a 3-day bereavement summer camp for kids that is free to grieving kids in our 7-county region. Children do not need to come from a “Hospice family” to attend the camp. However, we need to expand this program to include year-round services for children who are about to lose someone close or who are grieving a recent loss. These services are provided free of charge. Funds raised from Hearts for Hospice will go to expand this vitally needed program.
