Tourism Meets for Routine Business

The McCreary County Tourism Commission met in regular session earlier this month.
The following were among agenda items for new business:
-Collected $1,629.40 for March Transient taxes.
-Received and deposited co-op Matching Funds Reimbursement.
-Tourism Director Michelle Perry applied for a scholarship to attend a week long marketing college training.
-Items are being collected for swag bags for the local event, Yamacraw Trail Races.
The following were among agenda items for old business:
-Collected $1,741.62 for January Transient taxes.
-State Fair is being held this year. McCreary County is awaiting news about their booth space.
-Members voted Kristina Mcfeeters as Vice-President and Mehg Marshall as treasurer. Jesse Kidd is President (Chair.)
-Motion carried to order 1000 swag bags.
The McCreary County Tourism Commission meets on the Thursday of each month in the Tourism Office in Whitley City.
