Seniors receive nutritious meals during COVID-19

Volunteers at the McCreary County Senior Citizen Center have been busy making sure McCreary County’s seniors received nutritious meals since the start of COVID-19. Since March 23, 2020, the Center has distributed 55,991meals to residents of the county, and at one point, distributed 1900 meals every two weeks. The McCreary County Senior Citizen Center is a service of Lake Cumberland Area Development District (LCADD) which serves 10 counties in this region (Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, McCreary, Pulaski, Russell, Taylor, Wayne). LCADD has distributed 419,418 meals district-wide.
Workers at the McCreary County Senior Citizen Center extend their appreciation to all who have helped and for the support they have received from Judge Greene’s office and other county officials. They also extend a special thank you to Freddie Patrick.
