Grand Jury indicts 20

The Grand Jury met in regular session and made the following returns and filed them with the McCreary Circuit-District Court on June 28, 2021. Twenty people were indicted with the following charges.
Hannah Tucker of Church Hill, Tennessee was indicted on three counts. Count 1 states that on or about the 15th day of November, 2020 she committed the alleged offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense by knowingly and unlawfully having in her possession a quantity of Methamphetamine, a schedule II controlled substance. Count 2 states that on or about the 15th day of November Tucker committed the alleged offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, First Offense by having in her possession items commonly used for the ingestion and/or distribution of illegal controlled substances. Count 3 states that on or about the 15th day of November, 2020 Tucker committed the alleged offense of Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Intoxicants, First Offense by operating a motor vehicle on the Public highways while under the influence of intoxicants.
Billy Roberts of Stearns, KY was indicted on two counts. That on or about the 15th day of November, 2020 Roberts committed the alleged offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense by having in his possession a quantity of Methamphetamine, a schedule II controlled substance; and on the same date committed the alleged offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, First Offense by having in his possession items commonly used for the ingestion and/or distribution of illegal controlled substances.
John Chitwood of Marshes Siding, KY was indicted on two counts. That on or about the 19th of December, 2020 Chitwood committed the alleged offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense by having in his possession a quantity of Hydrocodone, a schedule II controlled substance; and on the same date committed the alleged offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, First Offense by having in his possession a quantity of Diazepam, a schedule IV controlled substance.
Holly Strunk of Parkers Lake, KY was indicted on two counts, that on or about the 15th day of March, 2020 committed the alleged offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense by having in her possession a quantity of Methamphetamine, a schedule II controlled substance; and on the same date committed the alleged offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, First Offense by having in her possession items commonly used for the ingestion and/or distribution of illegal controlled substances.
Rowdy Rose of Stearns, KY was indicted on the charge that on or about the 8th day of November , 2020 Rose allegedly committed the Offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense by having in his possession a quantity of Methamphetamine, a schedule II controlled substance.
Christopher Tucker of Stearns, KY was indicted on two counts, that on or about the 9th day of March, 2021 Tucker committed the alleged offense of Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Fourth Offense by operating a motor vehicle on public highways while under the influence of intoxicants AND that he had previously committed and been convicted of Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Intoxicants; and on the same date committed the alleged offense of Driving a Motor Vehicle while License is Revoked or Suspended for DUI by operating a motor vehicle on public highways after having his driver’s license revoked or suspended.
Rodney Jones of Marshes Siding, KY was indicted on two counts, that on or about the 22nd day of March, 2021 Jones committed the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense by having in his possession a quantity of Methamphetamine, a schedule II controlled substance; and that on the same date committed the alleged offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, First Offense by having in his possession items commonly used for the ingestion and/or distribution of illegal controlled substances.
Johnny Troxell II and Bonnie Wilson, both of Burnside, KY were indicted. That on or about the 16th day of February, 2021 Individually or in Complicity with another, allegedly committed the offense of Burglary in the Second Degree by unlawfully entering the residence of Peyton Lucas.
Dewayne Thomas of Pine Knot, KY and Kristina Hayes of Pine Knot, KY were indicted. That on or about the 4th day of March, 2021, Individually or in Complicity with another, allegedly committed the offense of Theft by Deception of the Value of $500 or More But Less Than $10,000 by taking cash from Nicholas and Kassie Crummie in the amount of $5,000 for a parcel of land they had no legal right to sell.
Misty Murphy of Stearns, KY was indicted on three counts. That on or about the 2nd day of January, 2021 Murphy allegedly committed the offenses of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense by having in her possession, for the purpose of sale, a quantity of Methamphetamine, a schedule II controlled substance; and on the same date allegedly committed the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, First Offense by having in her possession a quantity of Suboxone; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, first Offense by having in her possession items commonly used for the ingestion and/or distribution of illegal controlled substances.
Kenny Cooper of Pine Knot, KY was indicted on four counts. That on or about the 11th day of April, 2021 Cooper allegedly committed the offenses of Possession of a controlled Substance in the First degree, Second or Subsequent Offense by having in his possession a quantity of Methamphetamine, a schedule II controlled substance; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, First Offense by having in his possession items commonly used for the ingestion and/or distribution of illegal controlled substances; and Giving a Police Officer False Identifying Information by giving a false name to constable Cody Stephens; and Resisting Arrest by threatening to use physical force against a peace officer.
Kaitlynn Hamilton of Whitley City, KY was indicted on three counts. That on or about the 29th day of May, 2021 Hamilton allegedly committed the offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense by having in her possession a quantity of Methamphetamine, a schedule II controlled substance; and Possession of a Controlled substance in the Third Degree, First Offense by having in her possession a quantity of Xanax, a schedule IV controlled substance; and Criminal Trespass 1st Degree by unlawfully entering the residence of another and would not leave.
Mystie Phelps of Stearns, KY was indicted on two counts. That on or about April 4th, 2021 Phelps allegedly committed the offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense by having in her possession a quantity of a controlled substance; and Fleeing or Evading the Police in the Second Degree by disobeying Constable Cody Stephens directive to stop a vehicle driven by Phelps in an attempt to elude law enforcement.
Dewayne Thomas of Pine Knot, KY and Kristina Hayes of Pine Knot, KY were indicted. That on or about the 10th day of April, 2021, Dewayne Thomas, Individually or in Complicity with another, allegedly committed the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense by having in his possession a quantity of Methamphetamine, a schedule II substance; and Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense by having in his possession a quantity of a controlled substance. On the same date Kristina Hayes, Individually or in complicity with another, was charged for committing the alleged offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense by having in her possession a quantity of Methamphetamine, a schedule II substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, First Offense by having in her possession items commonly used for the ingestion and/or distribution of illegal controlled substances.
Michael Barnett of Jamestown, KY was indicted on two counts. That on or about the 25th day of March, 2021 Barnett allegedly committed the offenses of Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon by having in his possession a 22 cal. Revolver after being previously convicted of a felony; and being a Persistent Felony Offender in the First Degree having been convicted of prior felonies.
Eileen Dick of Burnside, KY was indicted on three counts. That on or about the 2nd day of June, 2020 Dick allegedly committed the offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense by having in her possession a quantity of Methamphetamine, a schedule II controlled substance; and Theft by Unlawful Taking of the Value of Less than $500 by taking assorted items of the value of less than $500 owned by Family Dollar; and Resisting Arrest by threatening to use physical force against Constable Cody Stephens who was arresting her.
