On the Tracks

Steve and Michelle Richards of Crossroads Rail Car Services, Inc. in Stearns are pictured (above) in front of the Thoroughbred rail car which was designed and patented by Richards.  The prototype Thoroughbred car is named the Golden Pheasant-a reference to a grade of coal that was mined and sold many years ago through the Stearns Company.  Several companies are already showing an interest in purchasing a Thoroughbred train car.
