Burglary, Trafficking and Abuse of a Minor lead Grand Jury indictments

Burglary in the First Degree, Drug Trafficking and the Sexual Abuse of a minor headed the May Grand Jury indictments. The McCreary County Grand Jury met in regular session on May 9th, 2022 and returned nine indictments charging 12 individuals.
Daniel Ridner of Whitley City, KY was indicted on two counts, the alleged offenses occurring on or about December 14, 2021. Count 1 charged Ridner with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, Second or Greater Offense by having in his possession for the purpose of sale a quantity of methamphetamine. Count 2 charged Ridner with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, First Offense.
Phil Sluss of Williamsburg, KY was indicted on 11 counts, the alleged offenses occurring on or about March 15, 2022. Count 1 charged Sluss with Burglary in the First Degree by unlawfully entering a residence in McCreary County and being in possession of a firearm while in immediate flight from the residence. Count 2 charged Sluss with Theft by Unlawful Taking of the Value of $1000 or More by taking $84,000. Counts 3 through 11 (9 counts) charged Sluss with Theft by Unlawful Taking – Firearm by taking a Browning Model A5 12 gauge shotgun, a Browning Model A5 16 gauge shotgun, a Smith and Wesson 38 caliber revolver, a Smith and Wesson 38 caliber revolver, A Colt 38 caliber revolver, a Colt 357 revolver, a Taurus 9 mm pistol, a High Point 9mm pistol, and a XCam 22 caliber revolver.
Michael Loudermilk of London, KY, Alecia Rains of Corbin, KY, Sam Hodge of Corbin, KY and Jerry Mosley of Corbin, KY were indicted on two counts, the alleged offenses occurring on or about March 21, 2022. Count 1 charged the above named defendants, individually or in complicity with another, with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense by having in their possession, for the purpose of sale, a quantity of methamphetamine. Count 2 charged the above named, individually or in complicity with another, with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, First Offense.
Kylie Wright of Pine Knot, KY was indicted on one count, the alleged offense occurring on or about October 20, 2021. Wright was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense by having in his possession a quantity of Methamphetamine.
John T. Kelly, homeless, was indicted on three counts, the alleged offenses occurring on or about November 25, 2021. Count 1 charged Kelly with Burglary in the Third Degree by unlawfully entering Good Shepherd Catholic Chapel. Count 2 charged Kelly with Burglary in the Third Degree by unlawfully entering Shaolin School of Martial Arts. Count 3 charged Kelly with Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree by damaging Shaolin School of Martial Arts causing pecuniary loss in the amount of $500 or more.
Clarissa Lyons of Stearns, KY was indicted on one count, the alleged offense occurring from the dates of June 1st, 2018 to April 30, 2022. Lyons was charged with Flagrant Non Support by failing to make court ordered child support payments for not less than six consecutive month for an accumulating arrearage of $9881.25.
Brittany Mitchell of Parkers Lake, KY was indicted on one count, the alleged offense occurring from the dates of November 1, 2015 to April 30, 2022. Mitchell was charged with Flagrant Non Support by failing to make court ordered child support payments, for not less than six consecutive months and for an accumulating arrearage of $8241.58.
Vito Ceraulo of Verona, NY was indicted on one count, the alleged offense occurring on or about July 4, 2019. Ceraulo was charged with Sexual Abuse in the First Degree by subjecting a child less than 12 years of age to sexual contact.
