Blazin’ Bluegrass heats up this weekend

Enjoy bluegrass/gospel music at this weekend’s Blazin’ Bluegrass Festival

This year, fans of The Blazin’
Bluegrass Festival will celebrate
twenty years of blazin’ hot success
on September 15, 16, and 17
(Thursday, Friday, Sataturday) at
the Sand Hill RV Camp. The annual
autumn festival, which draws
fans of bluegrass/gospel music from
surrounding states and across the
nation, has grown phenomenally
over the years. Headlining some of
the most popular bluegrass/gospel
groups, this year’s festival line-up
includes Joe Mullins & the Radio
Ramblers, Russell Moore & IIIrd
Tyme Out, The Primitive Quartet,
The Grascals, Po’ Ramblin’ Boys,
The Moron Brothers, and others.
In addition to music, festival-goers
are treated to three days filled with food, crafts, vendors, fun, and fellowship. In addition to a food truck, food vendors this year plan to serve up generous helpings of BBQ, Gold Star Chili, and a variety of other tempting foods prepared by Lower Hickory Grove Church. Craft and artisan vendors include jewelry making, wood crafts, sweet treats, and much more. Games for the children and clogging lessons are also planned. Veterans are invited to attend the Veteran’s Ceremony at 11:00 on Saturday.
Admissions for the Blazin’ Bluegrass Festival are as follows: Thursday night (5-10 p.m.)-$10, Friday (11 a.m.-10 p.m.)-$15, Saturday (11 a.m.-10 p.m.)-$20. Three day passes for the entire festival are $35.
