To The Voice:

Hats off and a big “thank you” to McCreary County 911 Dispatch, KY Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement, and the McCreary County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance late Friday night when yours truly and my side-kick reporter, Molly the Schnauzer, had a flat tire and needed help.  After waiting three hours for AAA to show up, I finally phoned non-emergency 911.  The sweetest dispatcher soon had KY Fish and Wildlife Officer Joey Braden and McCreary County Sheriff’s Deputy Dylan Brown to the rescue.  After these two young gentlemen changed our tire, Molly and I were finally able to get home at about 2:30 a.m.
I am old enough to remember a time when we didn’t have law enforcement on patrol during the nighttime in McCreary County.  I also remember the struggle to get 911 dispatch service.
All I can say is, McCreary County has definitely come a long way-especially for those of us who drive alone (or with a yappy Schnauzer) late at night!
We’re blessed to have dedicated people who are there to help us when we call (or bark!) for help!
Thanks to all!  Keep up the great work!

Sincerely,
Eugenia Jones (Editor/The Voice)
& Molly the Schnauzer ( side-kick reporter)
