Shook paces girls team, Baird leads boys at 19th overall

Junior Kaleb Baird led all Raider runners by placing 19th overall at the Berea Invatation on Saturday. He was followed by solid finishes from Christian Williams and Riley Foster at 35th and 37th, respectuvie. Those numbers helped carry McCreary Central boys to the top 10 finish. The Raiders had enough boys to field a B team for the event as well, speaking to the growth of the pro-gram.

On the girls’ side, Callie Shook

led the team with her personal best time (24:55) in the tough race. The time was good enough for an over-all finish of 70th at the event. Other runners contributing to the finish include Alyssa Tucker, Ash-lyn Ferrier, Gabriella Valdez, and Mika Reed for the girls. Jackson Winburn, Cameron Quinn, Ryan Smith, Bryce Ham-mons,Parker Baird, Cayden Rowe, Ashton Williams, Guy Kidd, Kenna Gibson, and Cade Smith rounded out the boys runners.
