Joshua Allen Goodin

Joshua Allen Goodin, age 32 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died Saturday, September 24, 2022 at his home. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on April 23, 1990 the son of Gregory and Donna (Cordell) Goodin. Josh had served as a special deputy for the McCreary County Sheriff’s Office, Assistant Chief of the North McCreary Fire Department, a member of the Eagle-Sawyer Fire Department, and the McCreary Fest Board, and of the Baptist Faith. His grandparents, Bro. Dow and Ester Ellen (Spradlin) Goodin and David Cordell precede him in death. Survivors include his parents, Greg and Donna Goodin of Parkers Lake; daughter, Paisley Grace Goodin of Helenwood, Tennessee; grandmother, Lena (Moore) Cordell of Strunk, Kentucky; brother, James Craig Goodin of Whitley City, Kentucky; sister, Lindsey Marie Goodin of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; niece, Jaylynn Marie Patrick and nephew, Jordan Eric Patrick. Funeral services were held 1pm Sunday, October 2, 2022 at the McCreary Central High School with Bro. John Goodin and Bro. Craig Reed officiating. Burial followed in the Marlar Cemetery. The family received friends after 5pm Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the High School. He will lie in state 9am to Funeral time Sunday at the High School. In lieu of flowers family request donations be sent to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
