Austin Worley

Austin Worley, age 91 years, of Monticello, Kentucky died Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. He was born in Marshes Siding, Kentucky on February 9, 1931 the son of Andy C. and Martha Jane (Barnett) Worley. Austin had worked as a truck driver which was his greatest enjoyment in life. In his past time, he loved shooting guns, fishing, and boating. Austin had served his country in the US Air Force. His parents; son Charles Worley; brothers, Clarence Worley, William Worley, Andrew Worley, Jr., and Paul Worley; and sister, Mary Ann Spann precede him in death. Survivors include his son, Gary Worley (Mary) of Somerset, Kentucky; daughter, Beverly Washam of Sedalia, Indiana; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Gathering of family and friends were held 2-4pm Friday, October 28, 2022 at the McCreary County Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Taylor Ridge Cemetery with Military Honors provided by American Legion Post #115. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
