Walter Wayne Miller

Walter Wayne Miller age 64 of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at his son’s home in Science Hill, Kentucky. He was born June 13, 1958 in Jellico, Tennessee to John Walter Miller and Janice Pauline Waters. Wayne was an avid Harley Davidson lover as well as Ford Motor Company. Motorcyles and Mustangs were his favorites. In past times, he was a mechanic for various Ford Dealerships. Wayne also enjoyed visiting Florida and the sunshine, but he loved being home in the Mountains. He loved music and being with his family, friends, and his fur baby, Iris. Wayne will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Wayne is preceded in death by his father, John Walter “JW” Miller; grandparents, John “Sid” Sydney & Alta Mae Waters, Lola Miller, and Bransford Winchester; brothers, Robert “Moe” Stephens, Eddie Joe Stephens, and Jamie Grundy; aunts, Ella Mae Hill, Shirley Miller Bryant, and Patricia Miller McDonald; uncles, Kenneth, Chester, and Paul Waters; a cousin, Connie Hill James; and a niece, Vanessa Daugherty. Surviving family include his mother, Janice Pauline Grundy; sons, Elijah Miller (and Amber) of Gainsville, Florida, Walter Zac Miller of Monticello, Kentucky, and Silas Miller (and Mara) of Science Hill, Kentucky; a brother, Gary Waters (and Linda) of Muncie, Indiana; sisters, Lisa Strunk of Pine Knot and Sharon Privett (and Bub) also of Pine Knot; grandchildren, Hayden, Allison, Noah, Carmen, and Avery Wayne Miller; special aunts, Fayrene Hill, Shirley Frye, Mary Lou Gibson, and Sandy Hamlin; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Wayne also had several special friends that he loved dearly, Gary Bell, Tim Polley, James “dead eye” King, Patrick James “PJ” Fitzpatrick, Dave Sadler, Eric Morales, Steven and Allen Laupert, David Meadows, Steve Meadows, Joe Crabtree, Robbie Hardwick, Delmer Neal, Denzil Cooper, and Carlos Baird. Funeral service were held on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 12:00 noon. Burial followed in the Jones Cemetery. The family received friends for visitation on Wednesday from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with the remaining funeral expenses. Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
