The McCreary County School District was pleased to partner with Outdoor Venture Corporation by bringing school staff to the OVC plants to tour the facilities. Having a greater understanding of the manufacturing process and job skills needed will allow educators to ensure students are workforce ready upon graduation. In addition, it increased our knowledge of job opportunities provided within our own community. A special thank you to JC Egnew for extending the invitation and to Roger Branscum, Alex Egnew, Brian Maxwell, and the OVC supervisors and engineers for the excellent job they did in explaining things on the tour. In addition, thank you to Board Member Lori Foster and Stacey Hammons for coming out to support the collaboration between the school district and the community.
