Carlos Maxwell

Carlos Maxwell age 67 years, 10 months, and 2 days, husband of Sheila Maxwell, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022, at the UK Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Angel Cemetery. He was born January 24, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Henry Jack Maxwell and Lora Mae Wilson Maxwell. Carlos was a Master HVAC Technician, and he owned and operated his own business Maxwell’s Heating and Cooling for over 30 years. During that time he serviced and installed countless systems, and made countless friends. He enjoyed antique car shows, hunting, fishing, watching movies. He enjoyed a large collection of classic movies. He also enjoyed flea marketing. Carlos was the President of the McCreary County Hunter Education program. He began working with Hunter’s Ed. in 1976 and served as state director. He helped establish the annual youth campout and Camp Arnold, providing hunting and fishing experiences for the students. Preceding him in death were his parents and his 2 fur babies Buffy Maxwell and Charlie Brown Maxwell. Survivors include wife, Sheila Maxwell, fur baby, Sadie Maxwell, sister, Phyllis Bryant, sisters in law, Linn Gibson, Linda Gibson, Patricia Cox, and Joyce Gibson Crawford, uncles, James Maxwell, Ronnie Kidd, James Upchurch, aunts, Lena White, and Linda Gibson Noe, Connie Kidd, Alice Erbaugh, Margaret Maxwell, and Elizabeth Upchurch. Godchildren, Jessica Bryant Sheridan, Jason Gibson, Darrell Gibson Jr., grandchildren, Chandler Bryant, Miley Sheridan, Carly Jo Sheridan, and Weston Sheridan, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Carlos Maxwell.
