With the increasing number of pedestrians and bicyclists traveling McCreary County roads after dark and following multiple nighttime pedestrian fatalities, The McCreary County Voice recently donated reflective vests to local law enforcement. As part of a joint effort to save lives and make drivers feel more comfortable driving at night, the officers will distribute reflective vests to individuals they encounter walking or biking at night on a regular basis. If readers know anyone in need of a reflective vest for nighttime use, please contact the McCreary County Sheriff’s office. The McCreary County Voice Editor Eugenia Jones is pictured above as she gives Sheriff Randy Waters some of the reflective vests.
