Barry “Pete” Lynn Ball

Barry Lynn Ball, better known as “Pete”, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at his home at the age of 60. He was born in Wiborg, Kentucky to the late Robert Ball and Beulah (Rollins) Ball. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby, Billy, Hollis, Roger, Lymon Eugene, and Ezra Jackson “Jack” Ball; and a sister, Alice Ball Funk.  Surviving family include his daughter, Jessica Ball of Georgia; a son, Casey Ball of Whitley City; grandchildren, Tierra, Jericha, Makiha, and Bristalynn Stevens and Kiari, Casey Jr., and Nicholas Ball; sisters, Velma Cress of Union, Kentucky, Nancy Ball of Cincinnati, Martha Johnson and Dioma Lovitt of Pine Knot, Kentucky. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, December 26, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the Flat Rock Cemetery.    Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.  Pete enjoyed fishing and watching UK Basketball. He also liked to ride horses in past time and caring for his little chihuaha, Dixie. Pete will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
