The McCreary County Grand Jury returned the following indictments on December 20, 2022:
Ashley Kimberland of Somerset, KY was indicted on two counts of Assault in Third Degree for allegedly hitting, kicking, and spitting in the face of a McCreary County Sheriff’s Deputy and one count of Resisting Arrest.
Raymond Hamby of Whitley City, KY was indicted on one count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, First Offense.
David (Dino) King of Pine Knot, KY was indicted on one count of Manslaughter, 2nd Degree for allegedly showing wanton indifference to human life by leaving an individual to die, knowing his inebriated state and lack of visibility to passerbys would prevent him from receiving help. King was also charged with one count of Tampering with Physical Evidence, one count of Wanton Endangerment in the First Degree, and one count of Persistent Felony Offender in the First Degree.
Donna Helton of Manchester, KY was indicted on one count of Theft of Identity of Another and one count of Persistent Felony Offender in the First Degree.
Roy Hall of Pine Knot, KY was indicted on one count of Forgery in the Second Degree.
James Murphy of Williamsburg, KY was indicted on one count of Trafficking in Marijuana of Five Pounds or More, First Offense-Enhanced; one count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense-Enhanced; and two counts Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon.
