Louis Leon Hatfield

Louis Leon Hatfield, age 57 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Saturday, December 31, 2022 at the Jean Waddle Care Center. He was born in Whitley City, Kentucky on May 24, 1965 the son of Beachem and Molly Jean (Baird) Hatfield. Leon had worked for Jones’ Plastics as a machine operator, was a member of the South Pine Knot Church of God, and enjoyed working, mud riding, fishing, watching wrestling, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren and family. His parents; brothers, Tommy Lester Hatfield, Beachem Lester Hatfield, and Steve Hatfield; and sister Diane Hatfield precede him in death. Survivors include his sons, Leon Hatfield (Lily Flores) and Joshua Hatfield (Randi Branim) both of Florence, Kentucky; mother of his children, Joanna Jeffers of Florence, Kentucky; brothers, Donnie Ray “Chub” Hatfield (Pamela) of Whitley City, Archie Hatfield (Jenny) of Stearns, and Jesse Hatfield (Sherry) of Stearns, sisters, Darlene Canada (Gary) of Whitley City, Francis Sammons of Whitley City, Maggie Phillips (Gary) of Oneida, Vicky Davis (Colonel Ray) of Richmond, and Tammy Branim (Charles) of Stearns; and grandchildren, Grace Flores, Jordan Davis, Hunter Hatfield, and Madeline Hatfield. Funeral services were held 2pm Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Cody Canada officiating. Burial followed in the Hatfield Cemetery. The family received friends after 12pm Wednesday at the Funeral Home. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
