Jury trial results in conviction for sexual abuse

Following a three day jury trial, thirty-three year old Vito Ceraulo of Oneida, New York was convicted last week of 1st Degree Sexual Abuse in the McCreary Circuit Court. Ceraulo was prosecuted by Commonwealth’s Attorney Ronnie Bowling and Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Joshua Price.
Cearaulo is scheduled for sentencing by the Honorable Judge Dan Ballou on March 20th. Ceraulo was arrested on July 21, 2022 and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center with no bond allowed.
The case was investigated by Kentucky State Police Trooper Craig Reed with interagency assistance by the New York State Police, McCreary County DCBS, and the Lake Cumberland Child Advocacy Center.
