The McCreary County Museum has been awarded a $2,489.98 grant designated for the purchase of laptops and upgrade to PastPerfect 5.0. The grant was submitted by Deborah Kidd-Trammell, chair of the McCreary County Museum Advisory Board. PastPerfect is the world’s leader in collection and contact management software and is used by over 11,000 museums, libraries, and collection institutions worldwide. This upgrade allows for a cloud-based collection system that provides access to artifacts and archival materials from anywhere and on any device with an internet connection. “This program is an excellent searchable database and will enable us to document each item in the museum. Many of our files were lost due to the crash of a computer on which the museum’s files were stored. The McCreary County Museum Advisory Board is appreciative of the support given by the Kentucky Historical Society,” said Kidd-Trammell.
This project is supported with funding from the Kentucky History Trust Fund (KRS 171.325), a program administered by the Kentucky Historical Society.
