Gladys M. (Wyatt) Atkins, age 77 years, of Bean Station, Tennessee died Sunday, January 22, 2023 at the Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System in Morristown, Tennessee. She was born in Wiborg, Kentucky on November 30, 1945 the daughter of Harold and Ethel (Martin) Wyatt. Gladys was a homemaker and a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church. She enjoyed working her garden, doing word search puzzles, and her greatest joy were her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Roy Wyatt, Jim Wyatt, Carl Wyatt, Lawrence Wyatt, and Michael Wayne Wyatt; and sisters, Martha Wyatt, Betty Lou Perry, Norma Lee Maxey, Frances Terry, and Mary Jean Troxell. Survivors include her daughter, Tonya Ward (David) of Rogersville, Tennessee; brothers, Ronnie Wyatt of Nancy, Kentucky and Lee Wyatt of Whitley City, Kentucky; sisters, Brenda Wyatt of Whitley City, Kentucky, Wanda Roberts (Mike) of Whitley City, Kentucky, Judy Chitwood (John) of Marshes Siding, Kentucky, Sharon Kidd of Somerset, Kentucky, and Darla Sullivan of Monticello, Kentucky; grandchildren, David Ogan (Leann), Jeannie Dellinger (Wayne), Crystal Lima, and Shane Ogan; 16 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. Funeral services were held 1pm Friday, January 27, 2023 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Alan Coffey officiating. Burial followed in the Barren Fork Cemetery. The family received friends after 11am on Friday at the Funeral Home. McCreary County Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
