In an effort to find 54 year old Roscoe L. Garland of McCreary County, family and friends created the “Bring Roscoe Garland Home” Facebook page on February 6, 2023. Garland, who was reported as missing to Kentucky State Police (KSP) on October 14, 2022, was last seen on August 1, 2022 at a residence in Pine Knot, KY, near the Poley Ellis Road. Garland, whose birthdate is 02/07/69, was 53 years old with brown/grey hair and brown eyes when he was last seen. At the time of Garland’s disappearance, he was 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed approximately 150 pounds. Garland did not have a phone or car at the time of his disappearance and did not have a traceable digital footprint.
Garland was entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NAMUS) on February 9, 2023. He was also placed into the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS). Additionally, KSP have sought information concerning Garland and his disappearance through Facebook.
