Felix Moses

Felix Moses age 85 of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born September 1, 1937 in Jellico Creek, Kentucky to the late William Riley Moses and Mary Ruth (Angel) Moses. In addition to his parents, Felix is preceded in death by his wife, Margie Sue (Lawson) Moses; brothers, Shirley Moses and wife Estel, Andrew Moses and wife, Barbara, Truman Moses; a sister, Calestine Moses Ellis and husband, Rocky; sisters-in-law, Edna Moses and Brenda Moses; and grandchildren, Evan Swain, Matthew Bryant, and Jessica Roberts. Surviving family include his daughters, Janet Moses Duncan of Somerset, Yvonne Moses Bryant of Pine Knot, and Felicia Moses Roberts (and Jess) of Strunk; a son, Felix Moses II of Stearns; step-children, Teresa Wells Coffey (and Kenny) of Strunk, and Terry Wells (and Martha Fran) of Lancaster, Kentucky; grandchildren, Kevin Bryant (and Jessica), Latosha Runyon (and Kenneth), Stephanie Hubbard (and Joey), Adam Duncan (and Heather), and Jacob Roberts; step-grandchildren, Alicia Patrick, Benjamin Coffey, Kurtus Wells, and Nikki Wells; and several great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Matilda Cox, Carolyn Moses, Flonnie Moses; brothers, Theodore, Kermit (and Wendy), Rommell (and Arretta), and Carl Moses; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Brenda Perry and her son, Oscar Sumler. Felix was a Veteran of the United States Army. He owned and operated “Moses Barbershop” in Pine Knot for over 50 years. He made his living as a Barber, but his true passion was beekeeping. He loved to make honey and care for his bees. Felix also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and running his rabbit dogs. He will be sadly missed. Funeral service were held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Tapley officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Knot Cemetery with Military Honors. The family receivd friends for visitation on Tuesday after 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
