Lex Meldrum
Recently, Lex Meldrum joined The McCreary County Voice as an advertising representative, assisting with the newspaper’s special editions and campaigns. Lex and his wife, Lisa, moved to McCreary County last June and have been very active in the community. Lex is a volunteer firefighter for the Eagle/Sawyer Fire Department and volunteers with the Sheriff’s Department, assisting them by escorting funeral processions and serving civil summons. In addition, Lex is a TransAmerica Life Ins. agent. Lisa is an infant/toddler caseworker for the Christian Appalachian Project. The couple have lived in Utah, Wyoming, and Oklahoma but have always had an affinity for the South. They found McCreary County through Lisa’s parents, who moved to McCreary County several years ago.
“We like the nature and beauty of the National Forest,” Lex commented. “We love the people here and the super sweet Southern charm!”
