We all have an expiration date. That’s something we don’t like talking about. The Bible is clear, it’s appointed unto man once to die and after that the judgment. The Bible describes man’s life as a vapor that will disappear from this earth. The things we seek and collect will one day belong to others. Our houses will be lived in by others, and our cars will be driven by others. Paul said, “If I have hope in this life only, I’m of all men most miserable.” Is our purpose to get all we can, can all we get, and then sit on the can? Life is not measured by how much we own. Possessions are not able to fill the voids in our lives. Life is Jesus, and we were created by Him and for Him. The Author and Finisher of faith can bring new meaning and purpose to our every day existence.
Eternity has no expiration date on it. True purpose is found when this temporary life is swallowed by God’s eternal life! Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.” God offers to all in Christ, everlasting life. Jesus is the truth, the life, and the way! What does it profit a man to GAIN the whole world and LOSE his own soul? The most valuable possession we have is our soul. Receive Jesus and receive forgiveness, life, hope, peace, and everything else that money can’t buy. Being saved by the blood of Jesus brings meaning to this short lived life. Receiving Jesus will change your expiration date from temporary to eternal.
