Franklin Delano Jones

Franklin Delano Jones, age 85 years, of Revelo, Kentucky died Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky. He was born in Revelo, Kentucky on September 27, 1937 the son of the Rev. Thomas D. and Hazel (Vickery) Jones. Frank had worked 37 years, for GE as a millwright in jet engines, was a member of the First Hickory Grove United Baptist Church and the Orie S. Ware Masonic Lodge #874. His parents; brothers, Glenn J. Jones, Thomas Jones, Jr., Darrell Jones, and Dorman Jones precede him in death. Survivors include his wife, Aldena (Cook) Jones of Revelo, Kentucky; son Thomas David Jones of Stearns, Kentucky; daughter, Carolyn (Jones) Pearcy of Cincinnati, Ohio; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. Masonic and Funeral services were held 2pm Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Rufus Hughes and Bro. Eddie King officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Knot Cemetery. The family received friends after 12pm Saturday at the Funeral Home. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
