Brenda Earleen Lewis age 75 of Rockwood, Tennessee formerly of Whitley City, Kentucky passed from this life on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. She was born June 3, 1947 in Revelo, Kentucky to the late Earl Blackburn and Evelyn (Grider) Blackburn. In addition to her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Cecil; second husband, Virgil “Pap” Lewis; a sister, Doris Blackburn; and a nephew, Joshua Roberts. Surviving family include her children, Karen Cecil of Rockwood, Clayton Lewis of Whitley City, and Virgil Lewis “Jr.” (and Rosie) also of Whitley City; a special son, Nick Sedivi (and Jodi); and sisters, Ersel Day of Harriman, Tennessee and Sharon Roberts (and Edd) of Huntsville, Tennessee. Also surviving are Brenda’s grandchildren, Kalyn Bedingfield (and DJ), Laura Lewis, Sarah Walters, Brooklyn Sedivi, Hailee Best, and Vincent Lewis; and great-grandchildren, Connor, Kolbie, Kallie, Maddox, Jackson, Lynnex, Kendrix, and Matthew. Brenda was a member of the Stearns First Baptist Church and had spent many years as a waitress as well as a hairdresser. Brenda enjoyed sewing, cooking, and going shopping. She was your typical “southern grandma” who also enjoyed going to big cookouts and family get togethers. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
