McCreary County Sheriff’s Office deputies (left to right) Alex Jones, Larry Lewis, and Chief Deputy Dustin Ridner are pictured with items seized during a recent arrest. Items commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine were among the items located during the arrest.
The execution of a search warrant at a Pine Knot residence resulted in one arrest on multiple drug related charges, including one charge of manufacturing methamphetamine, 1st offense.
McCreary County Sheriff (MCS) David Sampson reported the arrest as occurring early Monday morning at approximately 4:20 p.m.
After acquiring information regarding suspected drug activity, MCS Deputy Alex Jones contacted Chief Deputy Dustin Ridner about the situation. Subsequently, a search warrant was granted and executed at a residence on Manning Road in Pine Knot, KY. As a result, 29-year-old Bryan Brock Doran was arrested and charged with (1) Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st Offense (2) Conspiracy to Traffic in Controlled Substance, 1st Offense (3) Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 2nd Offense (Methamphetamine) (4) Drug Paraphernalia-Buy/Possess (5) Possession of Marijuana.
In executing the search warrant at the residence, deputies located several small crystal rocks lying on the bed inside the bedroom where Doran had reportedly been smoking marijuana earlier. Inside the residence, deputies located marijuana and paraphernalia commonly used for marijuana and methamphetamine (scales, pipes, and baggies.) Deputies also located items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine including Acetone, paint thinner, and Blue Devil. A cook stove made from a flower pot and stove burner was located in the kitchen. Doran reportedly branded the powder and crystal substances as being flour and Epsom salt; however, stated the residence is a place where people meet and exchange drugs.
Doran was transported and lodged at the Knox County Detention Center.
Chief Deputy Dustin Ridner and MCS Deputy Larry Lewis assisted MCS Deputy Alex Jones with the arrest.
