Jerry Lee Vanover

Jerry Lee Vanover, age 82 years, of the Beulah Heights Community, died Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the Signature Healthcare of McCreary in Pine Knot, Kentucky. He was born in Vanover Ridge, Kentucky on January 5, 1941 the son of Ralph and Clola (Vanover) Vanover. Jerry had worked in truck cab manufacturing, was a member of the First Baptist Church Whitley City, and had served his Country in the US Army. Working outdoors, cars, music and dancing were his enjoyments in life. His parents; and brothers, JC Vanover and Gail T. Vanover precede him in death. Survivors include his daughters, Twilla Lane (Gary) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Yvette Bedinghaus of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Kendal Brue (Dan) of Florence, Kentucky; loving companion, Joyce Thompson of Whitley City, Kentucky; brother, Gary Vanover of Whitley City, Kentucky; sisters, Marie Triplett of Fairfield, Ohio, Nina Buis of Whitley City, Kentucky, and Rayma Mae Norman of Mt. Healthy, Ohio; grandchildren, Brandon, Derek, Emily, Abby, Max, Noah, and Molly; and great grandchild, Amara. Funeral services will be held 2pm Monday, November 27, 2023 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Jeffrey Bullens officiating. Burial will follow in the Higginbotham Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Monday at the Funeral Home. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
