A Plea to those who drive Beulah Heights Road
Monday night, we lost one of our sweet dogs. Bama was a sweet, loving dog. Our young people and staff were very sad.
Bama was expecting her first litter of puppies that were due in two weeks. Everyone was excited to see what a German Shepherd, Husky, and Great Pyrenees would look like, now we will never know.
We don’t feel bad toward the one who hit Bama, but we do feel bad that you were speeding, and you didn’t even stop to say “I’m sorry.”
So many animals have been hit and killed on this road because of people going too fast, not just here at the school but all up and down this road. It seems like everyone uses the strip in front of the school as a race track to see how fast they can go.
Years ago, a staff kid was hit by a speeding car, luckily the child did not lose his life.
Two weeks ago, a man lost his life from taking a corner and hit a tree.
I know the speed limit in some places on this road is 55. To me, that is too fact for this road. I am pleading with you to please slow down to 35 when going past the school. We have precious young people and pets. Please start the New Year right and slow down.
A life may be counting on you.
May God bless you.
