Robert Green Martin and Aggie (Cox) Martin

Robert (July 8, 1867 – August 20, 1951) and Sarah Agnes (Cox) Martin (May 2, 1871 – December 21, 1940) were married May 26, 1888, in Duck Run, KY. Sarah Agnes was affectionately called Aggie by everyone who knew her. Pine Knot resident Aggie (Martin) Stephens is the daughter of their oldest son, Andy, and was named in honor of her grandmother.
Robert and Sarah Agnes (Aggie) were the parents of eleven children: Andrew J. (Andy) Martin (October 14, 1892 – October 2, 1967); Mary Elizabeth (Martin) Stephens (April 30, 1895 – July 12, 1970); Martha Jane (Martin) Ball (August 22, 1897 – September 10, 1987); Lewis Patterson Martin (February 12, 1900 – October 31, 1991); John K. Martin (September 27, 1903 – August 11, 1992); Luther Martin (August 1, 1906 – September 19, 1983); Maudie Mae (Martin) Gilreath (November 13, 1908 – February 21, 1996); Edd Martin (April 28, 1911 – May 19, 1982); Fred Martin (May 26, 1913 – April 2, 2012); Myrtle Martin (September 28, 1915 – November 2, 1915); and Minnie (Martin) Hill (April 23, 1917 – January 5, 1979).
Robert Green Martin and Aggie (Cox) Martin were my great-grandparents and lived most of their lives in Duck Run, also known as New Liberty and Bear Wallow, KY.
